My name is Adrià Carbonell.
I was born in Barcelona in 1980. I have always felt the vital desire to express myself through artistic creation.
Either with a painting or a song, a draw or a poem, a performance or an idea.
I paint following my deep inner need, and for the pleasure and the joy of bringing beauty to my own world. When this beauty is shared with you, my hapiness is completed.
I don’t belong to any specific art school or movement.
When I paint I do it with freedom, and I have no limitations by any academic or stylistic corset.
I feel totally free when I create my artwork.
I just paint what I really want and I like. What motivates me and makes me have fun.
I paint what comes out of my own inner universe.
I come from a family wich is vinculated to the world of Art, Culture and Education.
Since I was a child, they have transmitted to me the passion for Art in all of its forms, and the essential value of Culture.
They showed me to enjoy Art and to know and understand artworks, and I learned to put authors and artistic currents in context. All this, suddenly awoke in me the pleasure and sensitivity to Art, and the interest for fine arts and performing arts.
The pictorial awakening happens as an adult, and it is born naturally and spontaneously.
Like a treasure that I had kept for many years, and it had emerged again to stay with me for good. And now I share it with you.
To paint and create with the soul, from my own life experience and emotions, becomes a main life exercise to me, and the reason of artistic expression.
All my paintings are born from an emotion or tell a story. They are small maps where you can find your own path.
